What started as a routine visitation turned into every parentโs worst nightmare. On May 30, 2025, three young girls - Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia Decker (5) - were reported missing after a scheduled visit with their father, Travis Decker. Days later, all three were found dead. And the man they trusted [ their own father] is now on the run.
๐ What Happened:
Travis Decker, a former Army medic with documented mental health issues, picked up his daughters in accordance with a court-ordered visitation agreement.
When he failed to return the girls on time, their mother immediately notified authorities in Franklin County, WA.
A multi-agency search was launched, involving local police, state patrol, and the FBI.
The bodies of Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia were discovered on June 2, in a remote part of the Cascades.
Investigators believe the murders were premeditated. Travis left behind disturbing notes indicating he felt โbetrayedโ by the custody arrangement and claimed he โcouldnโt live without them.โ
Travis Decker, 36, is now a fugitive. Authorities believe he may be armed, using his military survival skills to evade capture.
A federal warrant has been issued, and thereโs a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
๐ง The Bigger Picture:
This wasnโt some random tragedy; this was a systemic failure. Family court gave unsupervised access to a man with a documented history of instability. And now three innocent lives are gone. This isnโt just about one broken man. Itโs about how our institutions ignore red flags until it's too late, and kids pay the price.

๐ญ Final Thoughts:
There are fathers out here fighting like hell just to see their kids, and then there are monsters like Travis who get access and abuse it. The system doesnโt know the difference until blood is spilled. This should never have happened. And it damn sure better not happen again.
I donโt chase clout / I chase clarity.
